One of our goals for this blog is to highlight spots in the US that may be overlooked. We are big promoters of short trips to explore new places and mixing up the normal weekend plans. Overland Park is one of those places that took us by surprise with its bustling neighborhoods and beautiful gardens. We went here thinking it was my 50th state (unfortunately forgetting about North Dakota at the time) and enjoyed the Sunflower State immensely. After leaving Kansas City, Missouri, it was a short trek to Overland Park, so you can definitely see both on a quick trip. Dorothy was nowhere in sight, but we were thankful to avoid the tornadoes while we were in town. Check out our recommendations below!
