This was our first official stop on our western road trip (June-July 2019). It is a smaller town with a historic feel and placed strategically next to the West Entrance for Yellowstone National Park. There are some yummy food spots and cute shops to visit before exploring the park.
One restaurant I can recommend from personal experience is Buckaroo Bills. Make sure you arrive with an empty belly for some delicious barbecue and maybe even a swing at my ice cream eating record. I ate their ice cream challenge in 12 minutes and 30 seconds back in the summer of 2007. Needless to say, I did not try to beat it this time LOL! Andre tried a meat bun from a street vendor, which was a delicious dumpling filled with roasted barbecue pork. Try that as well if you have room 🙂
The Playmill Theater was a favorite of mine back-in-the-day, so if you are sticking around a little while, you should check out a show. See our recommendations and photos from that stop below. Also, you can find more from the road trip HERE.
